Hunter's plea deal back fires but another plea deal is more important

A federal judge blew up Hunter Biden’s plea agreement yesterday (07-26). This piece by John Daniel Davidson says that the deal became “null and void” when Hunter’s lead lawyer realized the deal wouldn’t protect Hunter’s dad.

Does injustice frustrate you? Let me remind you of Psalm 73:3, “For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.” The Psalmist goes into great detail about how the wicked prosper. He complains that it’s not fair but in verses 16-17, he has a change of heart.

“When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeply until I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny.”

No one gets away with lying. No gets away with breaking God’s law. Judgment Day is coming for us all. We will all face God one day and unlike our justice system, the Lord is no respecter of persons. (Romans 2:11)

We’re all sinners but fortunately for me, I settled out of God’s court. That’s right. Jesus is my advocate/lawyer. He already paid my death penalty on the Cross of Calvary, thus fulfilling God’s judgment. Therefore, my case has been dismissed.

Jesus can be your advocate too. He’s currently taking on new clients. If you admit that you’re guilty and believe in Jesus, then just dial Romans 10:13, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Imagine, if you will, that the Bidens survive their legal and political trials. Their protection will be short-lived because they will ultimately face our Creator.

From an eternal perspective, the Bidens should be more concerned about God’s court than man’s court.

Hebrews 10:17 says, “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.”

This applies to all of us. The fact is, we are all headed to the grave and everything we did in our body will be judged by God. And here’s a sobering thought: The Bible says everything we thought, said or did is recorded.

Revelation 20:11-12 says that the dead, small and great will stand before God and will be “judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.”

On that day it will be too late for any plea deal before God’s court. Take my advice, trust in Jesus now while there’s still time.
