It’s depressing being a Colts’ fan. This year’s team was knocked out of the playoffs by the New York Giants which had the worst record in the NFL (2-13 before crushing the Colts 45-33). Colts’ fans’ most repeated phrase is, “Wait ‘til next year.”
Personal note: I’m not advocating for drunkenness. I’m just recognizing that some may feel like drowning their sorrows.

Regarding the depressing time of the year ... Colts fans (including me) have LOTS of company! Consider the Detroit Lions, the only NFL team to NEVER play in the SuperBowl (maybe that streak ends this year?). The "curse of Babe Ruth" on the Red Sox. The long-suffering of the Chicago Cubs before finally winning a World Series. And how many years did Purdue suffer before finally getting back to the Final Four last spring? And IU football fans prior to this year ???
All droughts eventually come to an end. Or as we used to say (sarcastically) in healthcare, "All bleeding stops eventually." Until then "There's always next year!" 😆
