Some Republicans are not happy with Speaker Mike Johnson. Last week, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) said that in light of Johnson’s handling of the spending deal that he would not vote for him for Speaker of the House on January 3. A few other republicans feel the same way.
Personally, I like Johnson. He’s a follower of Jesus Christ. But I was shocked that he supported the 1,500 page Christmas Tree continuing resolution bill. Johnson defended the pork-laden bill until it Elon Musk criticized it and republicans turned against it.
Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky) predicted Johnson would be out of the seat by spring.
