Gary Varvel: Bidenomics illustrated
Plus my cartoon on the House Speaker seat and my essay on Why Nations Are Judged
Bidenomics is best illustrated as Dracula, named Bidenflation, sucking the strength out of America. Inflation is costing average American families $709 more per month compared to 2021. That is an extra $8,500 a year to maintain our current lifestyle. Not many are getting $8000 raises.
Inflation is a tax on your savings because its purchasing power is greatly reduced. The elderly on a fixed-income are feeling the pain more than most.
Since unseating Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, the Republicans have been riding in a driverless bus. Last week, Steve Scalise failed to get the votes and this week is Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan’s turn to convince House GOP members to let him take the wheel.
HAMAS DEFINED
Did you know that the Hebrew word for “violence” is “Hamas?” The graphic below is from BlueLetterBible.org. Fascinating.
RIGHT LINKS
VIDEO - Pastor Gary Hamrick presents a Biblical perspective of the events. Who/What is Hamas? Why are they so intent on destroying Israel? Who are the Palestinians and why do many of them think of the Jews as “occupiers” and “colonialists”? And do these current events point to any particular Bible prophecy about the End Times?
VIDEO - Peter Heck: Here’s why social media is crucial in timely unfiltered news coverage.
Red State - Nick Arama: Bret Baier stunned by astonishing comment from Leon Panetta about disinformation and Hunter Biden laptop.
Jerry Newcombe: Armageddon? Not so fast! Jesus is coming back. We don’t know when. We should all be ready. But in the meantime, let us be about our Father’s business.
Western Journal - Dennis Prager: Palestinians rejected their own state 5 times - They don't want land, they want Israel destroyed.

In 1787, George Mason said, “As nations cannot be rewarded or punished in the next world they must be in this. By an inevitable chain of causes & effects providence punishes national sins, by national calamities.”
GOD JUDGES NATIONS
The Sunday after 9/11, church attendance nationwide increased by perhaps 25% according to Barna. But just 2 months later church attendance was back at normal levels. Why did some of those people quit attending? The better question is, why did 25% more people go to church right after 9/11?
Were they scared and hoped that the God who they never had time for would rescue them? I imagine atheists reasoned that if there is a God, then why did he let such a tragic thing happen.
Two days after the 9/11 attack, Rev. Jerry Falwell was on Pat Robertson’s 700 Club and Falwell blamed God's wrath on abortion and promiscuity. Pat Robertson joined him in that opinion and right on cue the media demonized them. The firestorm from the left and even President George Bush 41 was so heated that Falwell issued this statement, “I hold no one other than the terrorists and the people and nations who have enabled and harbored them responsible for Tuesday's attacks on this nation.”
But just days before Falwell’s death in 2007, CNN’s Christiane Amanpour asked him about his controversial statement in 2001. Falwell said he stood by his original statement.
I can understand why Falwell back-pedaled under the pressure but he was right the first time.
As George Mason stated in 1787; God punishes national sins. And if those people who went to church after 9/11 had stayed and repented of our national sins, I imagine Americans would not have given up so much moral ground today. (like redefining marriage, gender pronouns and genital mutilation of young people).
Look at how God dealt with Israel when they sinned.
