President Biden agreed to debate Donald Trump if he gets a few restrictions. 1. Trump must be gagged. 2. Trump must wear a straight jacket. 3. Biden gets to phone President Obama anytime he wants. 4. No audience. 5. No questions about the economy or illegal immigration. Only questions about abortion and Trump trials.

FAMILY VALUES

I’ve been asked, “What’s your favorite cartoon that you’ve drawn in your career?” After drawing over 10,000 cartoons, that’s a tough one to answer.

But I can honestly say that the greatest thing I ever had a part in creating, is my family. (FYI: My wife did the hard part).

The reason I bring this up is because of the backlash that the Kansas City Chiefs’ three-time Super Bowl-winning kicker, Harrison Butker, a devout-Catholic, is getting for comments he made during a commencement speech at Benedictine College. Here is the sentence that made the leftists lose their minds:

“Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”

Then Butker praised his beautiful wife and called her a “homemaker.” The left viewed this as an insult.

The New York Post article said, “The NFL distanced itself from the speech, issuing a statement that “his views are not those of the NFL as an organization.”

The woke NFL has no problem with kneeling to disrespect the National Anthem but distances itself from traditional family values. Sad.

God gave biological women a super power — they can make human beings inside of their bodies. This miracle of life should be celebrated and encouraged. And I’ll gladly stand with Butker and go even further and say that breaking a glass ceiling to get a promotion for a fancy job title or earning great wealth or even winning a Super Bowl ring won’t mean a thing at the end of your life — But your family will.

Psalm 127:1-5 says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. ²In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—for he grants sleep to those he loves. ³Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. ⁴Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. ⁵Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.”

Let’s break this down:

Verses 1-2 advises us to make the Lord the builder of our home and work.
Verse 3 tells us that children are a gift and reward from God. Our society wrongly views children as a burden and dispensable through abortion.
Verse 4 compares children to “arrows in the hands of a warrior.” An arrow must be shaped and sharpened by a warrior. An arrow must be given aim and guidance by a warrior. An arrow is an extension of the one launching it. An arrow has potential for good or evil and so are “children born in one’s youth.” The biological clock will eventually run out — so have children when you’re young.
Verse 5 calls the man blessed whose quiver is full of them (children). Having children when you are young is a protection against loneliness and abandonment in your old age. Adult children who honor their parents will contend and defend their parents.

I was fortunate to provide for my family by working a job that I enjoyed. But the priority for my wife and I was to raise children who would continue a legacy of faith in Jesus Christ and we can thankfully say that our labor has not been in vain.
