HARVARD HISTORY

Did you know that the Puritans founded Harvard in 1636? The school has fallen far from its founding. Here are some of Harvard’s admission requirements in 1942:

2. Every one shall consider the main End of his life and studies, to know God and Jesus Christ which is Eternal life. John 17:3.

3. Seeing the Lord giveth wisdom, every one shall seriously by prayer in secret, seek wisdom of him. proverbs 2:2,3 etc.

4. Every one shall so exercise himself in reading the Scriptures twice a day that they be ready to give an account of their proficiency therein.

The founders of Harvard would be appalled to see what has happened to their institution.

After Harvard president Claudine Gay’s disastrous antisemitism testimony before Congress, she has been dealing with “credible allegations of plagiarism” in the writing of her 1997 dissertation.

But Harvard called her infraction: “duplicative language without proper attribution.”

Politico’s Eric Bazail-Eimil writes, “The university said that Gay, who earned her doctorate from Harvard in political science, would submit three corrections to her dissertation in response.”

Wait a minute, she gets a do-over? So that is the new standard at Harvard? Any students who get a bad grade should just ask to correct their mistakes and if any future accusation should be excused as duplicative language without attribution.
