Democrats might as well have shown up to the State of the Union wearing matching “Kick Me” signs. When they refused to stand for President Trump’s declaration that it’s the “duty of American government to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens,” they didn’t just make a statement — they made a campaign ad. The optics weren’t just bad; they were gift-wrapped and they put a target on their chest in the next election.

Trump ticked through his accomplishments: a closed border, cooling inflation, lower gas prices, dipping crime rates, roaring stock markets and fatter 401(k)s, real tax relief for working Americans, and a renewed dose of peace-through-strength overseas. Meanwhile, Democrats perfected the art of the synchronized scowl.

Their knee-jerk resistance to anything Trump says finally boomeranged. When he asked them to put Americans first, they couldn’t even rise to the occasion — literally.

(The following is an updated series first published in 2021 based on Dave Breese’s book, Seven Men Who Rule The World From The Grave. I will expand it to Ten men).

Part 1 — Charles Darwin

“An idea is like a virus. Resilient. Highly contagious. And even the smallest seed of an idea can grow. It can grow to define or destroy you.” Those words were spoken by Cobb, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, in the 2010 movie Inception. Writer-director Christopher Nolan was right about the power of an idea to “define or destroy you.” Inception is a science fiction film about using dream-sharing to plant an idea into the mind of another person.

In Seven Men Who Rule the World from the Grave, author David Breese explains that these men were successful in planting their ideas into the minds of people. And as you will see, those ideas have grown to define our world today — and they are also destroying it.

This method of deception is as old as the serpent in the Garden of Eden, who deceived Eve with the idea, “You can be like God.” This is the goal of the devil, and it is the result of Darwinism.

Breese says Charles Darwin’s theories in his landmark 1859 book, On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, were seen as “a plausible new understanding of man and nature important enough to be thought the work of a genius and the beginning of a new epoch in world history.” With no evidence, Darwin believed his theory of evolution was guided by an “impersonal force.” Breese wrote, “The ideas of evolution left the confines of biology, botany, and paleontology and are now thought to apply to the social structure at large. The application of Darwinism to social structures is called Social Darwinism… It represents the way Darwin rules our society from the grave.”

“Until the emergence of Social Darwinism, it was generally held in the West that the process of history constantly revealed that the Judeo-Christian God was behind it,” writes Breese. It’s obvious from the writings of America’s Founding Fathers that they believed in God. In 1775, Patrick Henry said, “There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations…”

The reason for the Founders’ faith in God was that they studied the Bible in public school. In fact, the Bible was taught in America’s public schools from 1647 until 1963. The void left by removing God’s Word from the classroom was replaced by the teaching of evolution.

Science is the observation and study of God’s creation. But without the Bible, science began to be elevated in importance to the point of becoming a god. Today, we hear phrases like “Follow the science” or “Science has determined,” as if some supreme being has spoken.

How has this shift away from a belief in God worked out for us? The teaching of evolution in schools has produced a citizenry that has devolved into depravity. If you teach children that they are nothing more than highly evolved animals, we shouldn’t be surprised when they act like animals.

In the ’70s, evolution was taught as a theory. Today, it is treated as fact. But it is not a fact. It’s been mathematically debunked. You may think the fossil record proves evolution — but no, that’s a lie and Darwin knew it.

In his 1859 book, On the Origin of Species, Darwin addressed the lack of intermediate fossils in the geological record, writing, “Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely graduated organic chain; and this, perhaps, is the most obvious and gravest objection which can be urged against my theory. The explanation lies, as I believe, in the extreme imperfection of the geological record.”

Darwin also admitted, “To suppose that the eye… could have been formed by natural selection seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest possible degree.”

Yet instead of abandoning his theory, he convinced himself that the answers would eventually be found.

The truth is, evolutionists must rely on countless miracles to explain how even the simplest one-cell organism came to exist. It takes more faith to believe in evolution than to believe in one miracle: that God has always existed. Everything else is explained by His creation. And the more scientists uncover the breathtaking complexity of life, the stronger the evidence for an Intelligent Designer becomes.

Nevertheless, Darwin’s doctrine of demons has successfully secularized the world. Despite the lack of evidence — no transitional forms from one species to another — evolution has deceived billions, resulting in rebellion against our Creator. But the Bible said this would happen.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 (NLT) says, “Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God…” I believe the teaching of evolution has fueled this great rebellion we are witnessing today. Coaches are fired for praying with their players after a game. Students are banned for things like wearing a mask that says “Jesus loves me.” These and many more examples reflect Darwin ruling from the grave.

Romans 1:20–22 (NLT) says, “Since the creation of the world His (God’s) invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools.”

Coming Tuesday: Part 2 — Karl Marx.
