I posted tons of political cartoons, articles, and personal opinions last year during the election. Beginning in January I have back off on politics and stuck to, Family, Friends, and Faith.

Here's what I posted to my friends today:

"I have stopped posting political cartoons, articles and personal views on Facebook because I want to focus on Family, Friends and Faith; however, if you are looking for solid information on today's politics from a Christian viewpoint, I highly promote Gary Varvel's posts, "Views from the right", which I believe should be retitled, "Biblical views about what's right".

Morals lead to good acts, good acts lead to feeding the soul, feeding the soul leads to love of spirit, spirit opens the door to faith, faith starts a relationship with Jesus. Feelings are stronger then words. The blind can't read.

I love your response regarding works and salvation. You are exactly right. Our “good works” comes out of a heart thankful for the free salvation he promises us as we receive our freedom from sin and death because of what Jesus did on the cross for us. We can never work our way to heaven. That only comes through God’s grace and love for each one of us. Thank you, Jesus!

Gary, love your good work, it's one of my favorite things to read in the morning! I also think you guidance for President Trump is good, but I noticed that Romans 10:9-10 is missing, and really, this says it all:

[9] that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I hope you include this in your message to him.💕

You are correct, Sandy. Romans 10:9-10, 13 are great verses that explain how we receive God's gift of salvation.

Love your explanation of salvation, Gary. For many years, I tried to make it on my works alone. Thank God for his wonderful gift of salvation!
