HISTORY LESSON: The videos below show that austerity attempts were tried by Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama to cut the waste and the size of the government workforce. But President Donald Trump’s DOGE is actually getting it done.

In 1993, President Clinton proposed the Reinventing Government or REGO Report to cut wasteful spending and 12% of the Federal workforce.
In 2011, President Obama introduced his Campaign to Cut Waste, saving $3 billion in information technology, shutting down duplicative data centers and getting rid of excess federal real estate. Obama even said that he had a pen and a phone and wouldn’t wait on the legislative branch.
There’s an old saying that if you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that yelps is the one that got hit. So it is with the Democrats who are yelping about DOGE cutting government waste. The cuts must be hitting them where it hurts.
Exodus 22:7 - “If anyone gives a neighbor silver or goods for safekeeping and they are stolen from the neighbor’s house, the thief, if caught, must pay back double.”
The people who profited off of taxpayers’ money through fraud or abuse, should have to “pay back double.”

When Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem, he rebuilt the wall around the city. He did it not because he hated the people outside but because he loved the people inside and wanted to protect them. People who want to come to America, must enter legally. If they break the laws of the government by entering illegally, they should be deported. Romans 13 says that everyone should "be subject to the governing authorities" which are appointed by God. Acts 17:26-27 says that God determines the boundaries of nations. Globalists don't understand this.
As well, Mr Varvel, you should respect the commandment about bearing false witness. You tell us, by implication, that Clinton failed to control/reduce "wasteful" federal spending. But Clinton was the last President to balance the federal budget, and reduced discretionary spending. During his administration, the size of the federal workforce fell by more than 10%. This despite the fact that mandated Social Security rose by roughly 50% and mandated Medicare nearly doubled. Trump and Musk claim to be reducing waste, but all they have given us so far are phony stories like the condom nonsense that confused Mozambique with the Middle East and, today, bragging about cutting health care services for the brave men and women who risked their lives and damaged their health responding to the 9/11 attacks on our country.
