Gary Varvel: Supreme Court wire cutters
Part 4 of my essay: God's plan for Israel - Plus paid subscribers: time lapse videos and Humor Me winners
Justice Amy Coney Barrett and Chief Justice John Roberts voted with the liberals on the Supreme Court, to allow the Feds to cut the razor wire that Texas Gov. Abbott placed along the border. Texans were trying to protect their state from criminals, human traffickers, drug traffickers peddling fentanyl and possible terrorists from around the world.
Not The Bee compiled some of the reaction on social media.
Biden’s open border has attracted people from around the world. Like this man who entered the U.S. illegally and boasted in a threatening tone, “You will find out who I am very soon.”
Cal Thomas wrote an insightful piece about the Supreme Court allowing the invasion on the southern border to continue.

Romans 11:25, “…Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved.”
PART 4: RESTORING ISRAEL TO GOD
As the verse above states, “Israel has experienced a hardening…” Jesus warns us not to harden our heart. A hardened heart is a person who is strengthened in their bias against God. A hard-hearted person will not listen to the gospel and will be offended if you even mention Jesus. But notice that after the “full number of the Gentiles has come” then all Israel will be saved. Here is how the Bible says that will happen:
Jesus said, “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.” (Matthew 24:21-22)
The Great Tribulation will be the fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel. The final 7 years before Jesus Christ returns to the earth, the wrath of God will be poured out on this world in 3 separate sets of 7 judgments listed in the book of Revelation. At the same time, God will send His witnesses into the world to give the Jews and the Gentiles an opportunity to choose Jesus Christ over the antichrist.
How the Jewish people will come to faith in Jesus as their Messiah will be way everyone comes to faith — through the preaching of the good news of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection.
1. First, God sends them 144,000 preachers.
Revelation 7:4 says, “And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed.”
In verses 5-8 it says, 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel will be sealed by God. They are all Jewish believers in Yeshua Hamashiach which means Jesus the Messiah.
God’s seal on them will protect them from the antichrist. It is believed the 144,000 will evangelize the post-rapture world. Like 144,000 Billy Graham’s proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, millions will be saved during the Tribulation.
“A great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language” (Revelation 7:9)—will come to faith in Christ.
2. God will also send 2 witnesses empowered with miraculous power to accomplish God’s mission.
Revelation 11:3 says, “I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”
They will turn the water into blood and strike the earth with plagues, like Moses did and stop the rain, like Elijah did. They will also destroy their enemies with fire. Some scholars think the 2 witnesses will be Moses and Elijah, representing the law and the prophets.
Others think they will be Enoch and Elijah because they were both raptured in the Old Testament. Whoever they are, they will prophesy in Jerusalem and will undoubtedly lead many of the Jews to faith in Jesus their Jewish Messiah.
These 2 witnesses’ ministry will last for three and a half years (1260 days), then the antichrist will kill them. Their bodies will lie in the street. People who were tormented by their plagues will celebrate and give gifts. Then on the 3rd day both of the witnesses will come back to life and rise back to heaven. I imagine this will be seen worldwide on video.
3. Before the final 7 judgments of the Tribulation period, God will give all of mankind one last opportunity to turn from their sin and trust in Jesus to receive His gift of eternal life. So God will send 3 angels flying through midair shouting, “the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people.” (Revelation 14:4)
The gospel has the power to break hard hearts of Jews and Gentiles. And the good news is: the Tribulation period will be the greatest harvest of souls in history. A great multitude will give their heart to Jesus, the Messiah.
The bad news is: The judgments from God plus the antichrist’s execution of everyone who refuses to take the Mark of the Beast during the Tribulation will result in the greatest loss of life ever.
Today, there is a growing remnant of Jews who have trusted in Jesus as their Messiah. The Bible says that Jesus has not appointed His followers unto wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9) and just as Lot was rescued before Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed, Jesus will rapture us to heaven before the Tribulation. Encourage one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
