The Washington Examiner reports, “President Joe Biden's new student loan forgiveness plan would cost $84 billion if implemented, a new analysis found.” The White House website says that Biden could relieve the debt of 30 million students.

In January, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Biden’s student loan / vote-buying scheme. He doesn’t have the power to just cancel loans. And the government is 34 trillion in debt, it doesn’t have the money to pay for everyone’s loans. No, if Biden gets his wish, the taxpayers, who already paid their own debt, will have to pay for someone else’s debt too. This isn’t compassion, it is theft.

This cartoon was inspired by Uri Berliner. He’s a gutsy, award-winning business editor and reporter who has been with NPR for 25 years. This week he wrote an essay for Bari Weiss’ online news site The Free Press, titled, “I’ve Been at NPR for 25 years. Here’s How We Lost America’s Trust.”

Berliner said that among editorial staff at NPR’s Washington, DC, headquarters, he counted 87 registered Democrats and no Republicans. I’m shocked (sarcasm).

Berliner accused his bosses at NPR of allowing their pro-Democrat political leanings to seep into editorial judgments, including its decision to turn a blind eye to the Hunter Biden laptop story. Berliner quotes a colleague at NPR who said “they were glad the network wasn’t covering the story because it would help Trump win re-election. He did not name the journalist.”

Trump says they shouldn’t get public funding. I agree.

How’s that open border and lack of assimilation working for us?

RIGHT VIEWS

Townhall - Sarah Arnold: Joe Biden praises Mexico's border plan that rolls out the red carpet for illegal immigrants.

The Federalist - Brianna Lyman: 19 Republicans resist deep-state efforts to keep spying on Americans without a warrant.

Cal Thomas: Trump’s statement on abortion, while welcome in part, cedes the moral high ground when he says abortion is up to individuals.
