THE WAR ON CHRISTIANS
Politico's Heidi Przybyla went viral last Friday for comments she made about "Christian Nationalists" during an appearance on MSNBC. She said:
“The one thing that unites all of them, because there are many different groups orbiting Trump, but the thing that unites them as 'Christian Nationalists' - not Christian by the way because Christian Nationalist is very different - is that they believe that our rights as Americans, as all human beings, do not come from any earthly authority, they don't come from Congress, they don't come from the Supreme Court, they come from God.”

By her own definition, our Founding Fathers were Christian Nationalists. She needs to read the Declaration of Independence:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
“Endowed by our Creator,” Ms. Przybyla. I have to admit that her comment perfectly illustrates the secular (godless) world view. If there is no God, then obviously there is no Biblical standard for morality. And without a Biblical standard, then government must dictate what rights we have. She says in her rant that she’s concerned about abortion and same-sex marriage rights. Therefore, what she is saying is that she loves those sins more than the One who Created her. And anyone who disagrees with her is a Christian Nationalist.
We shouldn’t be surprised by this kind of attack. Jesus predicted that the world would hate His followers because they hated Him first.
Jesus also said in John 3:19-21, “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”
Unbelievers’ love for their sin, causes them to hate God, hate the Bible and hate people who follow the standard of Biblical morality. So prepare to be demonized by the left as we get closer to the election. The Christian Nationalist moniker is this year’s “Basket of Deplorables.” Well I am happy to be counted with the Founders.
How should Christians respond to these attacks? Like Joshua said:
“But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
Be strong and courageous.
