Last week, President Trump spanked South African President Ramaphosa in the Oval Office and the press was dumbfounded.

Ok, ok, Trump didn’t physically spank him but he embarrassed the South African leader before the whole world by showing a video collage of genocidal statements made by black supremacist politicians in Ramaphosa’s country. The threats against against white farmers, had been ignored by the media until Trump shamed Ramaphosa.

Townhall’s Arthur Schaper wrote, “Thank you, President Trump, for confronting South Africa’s black supremacy.”

DEVOTIONAL

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” - Matthew 6:33.

If you wrote down what you did with your time this week, would God be there?

In 1984, my job required me to be at work at 6 am. So I started a habit getting up at 4:30 each morning to spend time with the Word of God and pray. I was amazed at how many times something I read that morning would be applicable that afternoon.

In Charles E. Hummel’s book, Tyranny of the Urgent, he wrote, “The root of all sin is self-sufficiency—independence from the rule of God. When we fail to wait prayerfully for God’s guidance and strength, we are saying with our actions, if not with our words, that we do not need Him.”

Listen, God knows what you and I need and if we just seek Him first and His righteousness, God promises to meet our needs. Remember that Jesus arose before dawn to be alone with God. Shouldn’t we follow His example?
