WHY IRAN CANNOT HAVE NUKES

Yesterday, President Trump announced a cease-fire between Israel and Iran. It didn’t last long. A few hours later, Iran denied the agreement, blamed Israel for starting the war and launched missiles at Israel again. xxxxxx

Trump is being criticized from the left and the right for his “mostly peaceful” bombing of 3 nuclear sites in Iran.

A friend posted on Facebook that Trump is planning on putting a golf course in Iran. He already has 3 holes. HA!

I’ve seen comments on social media asking why can’t Iran have nuclear weapons when Israel, India, Pakistan and other nations have them. They answer is (MAD) Mutual-Assured Deterrence. It is what keeps nuclear club of nations from using their nukes. But Iran can’t be trusted with nukes. Here’s why:

The 1979 Constitution of Iran declares Twelver Ja'fari Shia Islam as the official religion of the country.

• Twelver Shia Muslims believe that Imam Muhammad al-Mahdi, the 12th Imam, went into occultation in 874 AD and will return one day as the Mahdi to establish justice and defeat evil.

• Twelvers believe that the mahdi, will be revealed to earth following an apocalyptic war and place the entire world under submission to Islam.

This theology is the foundation of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei beliefs and explains why he said in his Quds Day speech in 2015, “Israel is a malignant cancerous tumor... it must be eradicated.”

According to WND, on Iranian TV Monday, June 23, Gen. Ebrahim Jabbari, senior advisor to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard said, Iran was "very close to annihilating Israel." He also said the U.S. may have joined the conflict because Iran was on the verge of destroying the Jewish state.

If Iran had nukes, they would certainly nuke Israel. Iran has been the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism for over 40 years. Iran has funded billions of dollars of military equipment, hardware and weaponry to train terrorist groups and plan coordinated attacks against Israel and U.S. troops in the Middle East.

Trump gave Iran 60 days to give up their nuclear program but Iran refused. A week ago, Trump’s critics were calling him TACO (Trump Always Chickens Out). This week they are crying, Trump had no Constitutional right to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Now, look at this list of Iran’s past attacks on Americans:

1. 1979 – Hostage Crisis - 52 Americans held 444 days

2. 1983 – Beirut Bombing - killing 17 Americans

3. 1983: Beirut Marine Barracks Bombing - killing 241 U.S. service members

4. 1984: Second U.S. Embassy Bombing in Beirut - killed 24 people, including 2 U.S. military personnel

5. 1985–1991: Hezbollah Hostage Crisis - CIA station chief William Buckley (who was tortured and killed)

6. 1996 – Khobar Towers - killing 19 U.S. airmen and wounding hundreds

7. 2003–2011: Iran-Backed Attacks in Iraq - Iran’s Quds Force armed and trained Shia militias responsible for killing at least 600 U.S. troops

8. 2007 – Karbala Raid - killing 5 American soldiers

9. 2011 – Plot to Assassinate Saudi Ambassador in D.C. - Iranian operatives plot to kill the Saudi ambassador in a Washington, D.C. restaurant. (foiled)

10. 2019 – Rocket Attacks - Attack killed a U.S. contractor at a base in Kirkuk

11. 2020 – Missile Strike on U.S. Base - In response to U.S. killing of Qasem Soleimani, Iran launched ballistic missiles at Ain al-Asad airbase in Iraq. No deaths but over 100 U.S. troops diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries.

12. 2024 – Drone Kills 3 U.S. Soldiers - A drone attack killed 3 American soldiers and injured dozens at Tower 22, a base in Jordan

13. 2021-2024 – During the Biden administration, U.S. troops in the Middle East were attacked at least 135 times, possibly up to or exceeding 150, by Iranian-backed militias.

I don’t know how this fits in the Bible’s prophetic timeline. But I do believe that God gave Trump the courage to protect Israel by eliminating the existential threat posed by a nuclear Iran. Waiting until they had the bomb would have been too late.
