HOW TO MAKE AMERICA GOOD AGAIN

In 1857, Jeremiah Lanphier decided to start a noontime prayer meeting at the North Dutch Reformed Church in New York City. Lanphier printed thousands of pamphlets inviting people to attend. On Wednesday, September 23, 1857, Lanphier sat in an empty meeting room all alone from 12 to 12:30 pm. Then over then next 30 minutes 6 people showed up. 

This was the humble beginning of what would be known as the Businessmen’s Revival. By the third week there were 40 people attending the prayer meeting.
