Raising the debt ceiling

America is sold down the river yet again.

Speaker McCarthy and President Biden have agreed to a budget deal that raises the debt ceiling. The devil is in the details but the early response is that both the left and right hate the agreement. But columnist Glenn K Beaton thinks Biden lost the debt negotiations.

ARCHIVE 2011: During the budget negotiations, President Biden keeps saying he wants the wealthy to pay their “fair share.” What exactly is a “fair share?” He never says. The cartoon above shows one aspect of taxing business owners at a higher rate. To pay the tax increase they will either cut expenses or raise prices which becomes a tax on everyone.
