Teaching the teachers a lesson in lockdowns
Randi Weingarten gets schooled for her tall tales of Covid concerns.
Randi Weingarten, the President of the American Federation of Teachers (The teachers’ union) must be suffering from Covid memory loss. According to the New York Post, an epidemiologist blasted Weingarten — saying she fudged a scientific study to wrongly argue to Congress that schools should have been kept closed during the height of COVID-19.

CANCEL CULTURE WATCH
Minneapolis Star Tribune editor caved to criticism and publicly apologized for a cartoon by newly-hired editorial cartoonist, Mike Thompson. (click the link to see the cartoon). It was his first cartoon for the paper since taking over for long-time cartoonist, Steve Sack who retired last year.
Let me point out just how weak newspaper editors are these days. In the old days, once an editor approved a cartoon for publication, they defended it. If a reader complained, they were reminded of the First Amendment and invited to write a Letter to the Editor.
Unfortunately, as newspapers began to lose revenue and circulation, editors lost their nerve. So whenever someone pitches a fit they apologize. But apologies never satisfy the perpetually offended. Apologies only affirm, in the warped minds of cancel culture kooks, that the paper is racist, sexist, homophobe, transphobe, tone-deaf and on the wrong side of history.
Cancel culture creeps are humor-challenged. Their Marxist training must erase a part of their brain that understands humor. Instead of seeing satire, they become filled with hate and anger. They see life through the lens of the oppressed and the oppressor. Lacking any social graces, many of them become fact-checkers.
The Bible says this cancel culture cabal will exist in the last days of earth. They are described in 2 Timothy 3:3, “They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.”
Mike is a liberal cartoonist working at a liberal newspaper in a liberal city, and yet, they turned on him. Mike is also a friend and he doesn’t deserve this kind of treatment.

NEW HUMOR ME CARTOON on TUESDAY
Ironically, Weingarten’s explanations to Congress reminded me of a petulant child lying to their parents. Closing schools was “ merely an idea”.... her testimony reminded me of my Dad once saying to fourteen year old me “Martha Ann, you’re not doing a good job of lying.” Lesson learned. Weingarten was pathetic.
