SCHOOL SHOOTING UPDATE
Nashville Christian school shooter update: The deceased murderer who killed 6, 3 children and 3 adults, was a female at birth and identified as a trans person. Earlier in the day, police used terminology that confused the media when they called the shooter a trans-woman which would be a man transitioning to a woman. Later news reports clarified that shooter was, in fact, a 28-year-old woman.
The Bible describes what happens to a society that rejects God. Nearly two thousand years ago, the Apostle Paul wrote a letter to the church in Rome and warned:
“ Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.“ (Romans 1:28-31)
When a nation rejects God, then God abandons that nation and the unbelievers become depraved. They ultimately try to change God’s natural order like, women becoming men and men, women.
“Professing to be wise, they became fools and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man…” (Romans 1:22-23)
Humanists make themselves the god of their life. I know, I know, that I’ve written about this a lot but, as Paul Harvey says, “repetition is effective, repetition is effective, repetition is…”
Notice the words that I boldfaced? Out of a depraved mind comes murder, hatred for God, they invent ways of doing evil, without love and without mercy. This is a description of the Nashville shooter. She was a slave to the devil who comes to “kill, steal and destroy.” (John 10:10).
Notice also that, “They did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God.” The secularization of American culture has rejected Biblical truth and mocks Christians. Police say that the shooter left a manifesto. I’m interested to see if this shooting will be declared a hate crime targeting Christians. Or will the news media forget about this story? After all, it doesn’t fit the left’s agenda.
Final thought: One of my subscribers reminded me yesterday that according to the Smithsonian magazine, the deadliest school massacre in U.S. history took place in 1927: the Bath school bombing killed 44.
When someone has murder in their heart, they will use whatever weapon of destruction that they can get. Banning a certain kind of rifle won’t deter a murderer.
America needs peace which is only found in the Prince of Peace: Jesus.
