Gary, your cartoons hit right between the eyes on the abortion issue. Having said that, the critical response your received is representative of a very large portion of our population. Given the diversity of thinking and emotion on this issue, I would sure love to see the law reflect a large window of choice up until viability and with the mother's health in mind -- while we work on winning women's hearts and minds on the moral basis for the pro-life position.
"A large window of choice?" Choice to kill an innocent pre-born child? I couldn't disagree more. We should never make laws based on popular opinion. The majority is usually wrong. It was the majority opinion that crucified Jesus Christ. And it was a 7-2 majority of the U.S. Supreme Court that gave us Roe v Wade. But they were wrong. Abortion is NOT in the Constitution. You're right that this is a moral issue but like I said in my essay, there is no middle ground in life or death.
...and we will lose the election again as a result -- but the main point is that there are many people who don't believe that there is a human until birth. The moral point for them is that there is no murder because there is no person yet -- like someone who would be considered in a census, have a "birth certificate", take their first breath. I'll let you get the last word on this, if you want -- especially since I agree with your moral position (except in the very rare cases of a choice between my wife's death and an abortion). I'll let you get the last word and appreciate you taking the time to respond!
Always love your insight, informative and nicely done

Gary, a right on target reply. Many Christians, especially in "Progressive groups have never read or heard the passage you used. Larry Branham
