TBF, the USPS was having to pre-fund potential retiree health benefits (Congress allowed them to drop the funding requirement in 2022) but still has challenges according to GAO: https://www.gao.gov/blog/u.s.-postal-service-faces-more-financial-losses-how-can-it-stem-tide

We sent by priority mail Christmas gift cards to our granddaughter and grandson on December 18th last year. It finally arrived on the 10th of February, soaking wet but still intact. Luckily, both gift cards were still in it. We can only imagine what the mail carrier had to go through to make that delivery.

The post office has lost four (4) of our Certified Mail packages in the last two years. Yes, we had tracking and they refunded our money, but the packages were gone forever. Anything Trump can do will be an improvement over that.
