Subscribing to my newsletter is the only sure way to see my cartoons
Donald Trump’s epic mugshot inspired my cartoon which shows some of the political attacks he has suffered.
MAGA supporters believe this is a Biden banana republic hit job on his political opponent to stop voters from re-electing Trump. According to the New York Times in 2022, President Joe Biden privately said that former President Donald Trump was a "threat to democracy," and should be prosecuted for January 6. It’s no surprise that the DOJ has been weaponized, using every power of government, to interfere with the 2024 election. (See Byron York’s link below)
SHADOW BANNING CONSERVATIVES
I am on 9 social media platforms. Nine! Not because I love Facebook, Twitter and the others, but because that is where the audience is. And I meet people from time to time who say they follow me on Facebook. But here is why they should subscribe to my newsletter in order to see my cartoons — I’ve been shadowbanned. What is that? Keep reading.
VIDEO — X CEO Linda Yaccarino says, “…If you’re going to post something that is lawful but it’s awful, you get labeled, you get de-amplified (which means it cannot be shared) and it is certainly demonetized.”
Question: who determines what is awful? Progressives? Is this why my posts don’t reach my followers? I have over 10K followers on X, but 24-hours after I posted my Trump Mugged Shot cartoon only 826 people saw it.
It’s not just X (formerly Twitter). Below is a screenshot of my posts on Instagram where I have 16K followers and Facebook where I have 28K followers. As you can see, 3 to 4 times more people see my cartoons on Instagram than FB. Why?
Obviously, I’m being shadowbanned on Facebook. When I post my cartoon, it is being de-amplified so my followers can’t see it. When did this happen?
During the Covid shutdown in 2020-21, my cartoons were shared thousands of times and were viewed by hundreds of thousands. I noticed a change after I drew my Faucinocchio cartoon.
See the label? When this cartoon went viral, Facebook slapped a label over my cartoon. Fact-checkers said Fauci’s emails didn’t contradict his public statements. My cartoon doesn’t mention Fauci’s emails. My cartoon used direct quotes from his public statements which I found on Youtube. Just look at the analytics for this cartoon.
Nearly 6K shares, 801 comments and over 4K responses. This was June 3, 2021. After that, responses to my posts dropped like a stone. I have received messages from friends who told me that they never see my posts and wanted to know if I still drew cartoons.
Look at this message I received on Messenger (below).
Therefore, no one can see my cartoon when it is shared from my post. But when you make a copy of it and post it yourself, then your followers can see it because it is not my post. That is shadowbanning.
This is soft-totalitarianism. I still have the freedom of speech but the social media masters have taken away my freedom of reach. They decide what can and can’t be seen and my opinions have obviously been labeled as awful by the social media masters. Why? Probably because I mock the progressives. Gary, here is what I’e observed lately with my own minimal social media presence.... On FB, pretty much everything I post addresses current events and my dissatisfaction with the current administration, COVID, TDS... I’ve been in the time out box a few times, and my FB exposure has definitely been minimized. My fellow “protesters” see my posts several days later or not at all. Instagram is where I post pics of my baked goods, adorable grandchildren and occasional road trips...nothing ever political or controversial. But now Zuckerberg seems to be cross checking because my Instagram views that used to average 70 ( friends and family) now hover around 12....it’s subtle but I know so many people like you that are being shadow banned simply because your posts are not false, but too true...
Thanks for "speaking truth to power" as they used to say. Keep up the good work. Hopefully the parallel economy will eventually offer more opportunities to bypass the current hi-tech hypocritical biases.
