President Biden called on Israel prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “operate by the rules of war.” Terrorists’ “rules of war” involves killing innocent women and children and then hiding behind their own innocent women and children.

SATAN’S MOTIVE FOR WAR

“This was an act of sheer evil,” said President Joe Biden, three days after Israel was attacked by terrorist-group Hama killing over 1,300 civilians.

EVIL

I agree that Hamas is evil for beheading innocent babies. So is partial-birth abortion when a baby is dismembered in the birth canal of their mother? Look at Jesus’ definition of evil:

Jesus called sexual immorality evil. He said theft was evil, greed was evil, pride was evil, slander was evil, deceit was evil and lewdness (meaning: crude talk, dirty jokes) was evil. (Mark 7:20-22)

Where does evil come from? “Out of a person’s heart,” Jesus said. “All these evil things come from within and defile a man.” (Mark 7:23) And only the gospel of Jesus Christ can change a person’s heart.

Look, Iran was credited with planning this attack on Israel but who is really pulling the strings for this kind of evil?

POWER OF DARKNESS

He’s called the prince of darkness, the father of lies, the evil one, the tempter, the dragon, the old serpent, our enemy and the deceiver of the world — Lucifer also known as Satan and the devil.

Yes, the Bible says Satan is real. He was an anointed cherub who was created by God but became filled with pride, rebelled against God, then deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden. God had given Adam and Eve dominion over the earth but when they sinned they forfeited that position and Satan became the ruler of this world. (John 12:31; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 2:2).

SATAN’S GOALS

So what is Satan’s endgame? First, he wants to replace God. (Isaiah 14:13-14; Ezekiel 28:15; 1 Timothy 3:6). Second, he wants to thwart God’s plans by stealing, killing and destroying people. (John 10:10)

Author Joel Rosenberg puts it this way:

“God says, I’m going to bless the Jews. Satan says, I’m going to kill them.
God says, I’m going to give the Jews this land. Satan says, I’m going to take it away.
God says, I’ll make Jerusalem a city of peace. Satan says, I’ll make Jerusalem a city of bloodshed.
God says, I’m going to make the Temple Mount holy. Satan says, I’m going to desecrate it.”

ANTI-SEMITISM

Harvard Undergraduate Palestine Solidarity Committee, authored a letter stating that students "hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence." What? Hamas is justified in slaughtering innocent women and children?

This kind of reasoning is demonic and inspired by Satan. Anti-semitism is hatred of the God of Israel.

The left describes Jews in Israel as occupiers. But they are ignorant of the Scriptures in which God deeded that land to the Jews. Genesis 17:8 says, “The whole land of Canaan, where you now reside as a foreigner, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God.”

HISTORY OF ANTI-SEMITISM

Down through history Satan has tried to thwart God’s promise by destroying the Jews.

Satan tried to destroy the Jews in Egypt by the hand of Pharaoh, but God rescued them through the Red Sea.
Satan tried to destroy the Jews in Persia by the hand of Haman but were saved when Queen Esther (a Jew) convinced the King to decree that the Jews could defend themselves. Jews celebrate Purim in remembrance.
King Herod tried kill Jesus after he was born in Bethlehem but God rescued him by warning Joseph in a dream.
Satan entered into Judas and motivated him to betray Jesus resulting in his crucifixion. But God raised Jesus back to life again.
Satan inspired Hitler and the Nazis to exterminate the Jews during the holocaust killing 6 million of them. But God used World War II to defeat the Nazis and sympathy for the Jews led Great Britain to give the land of Israel back to them.

Since Hamas started the war, there has been an increase in anti-semitism. Chicago Black Lives Matter posted a despicable meme of a Hamas terrorist paraglider but deleted the post after being criticized.

WARNING AHEAD

Hamas is calling for a “holy war” on Friday, October 13, 2023: A “World Jihad Day,” according to a statement cited by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

If other Muslim nations join Hamas, this war could become the fulfillment of Psalm 83:4-8?

⁴“Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation,
    so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”
⁵With one mind they plot together;
    they form an alliance against you—
⁶the tents of Edom (Palestinians) and the Ishmaelites,(Arabs)
    of Moab and the Hagrites,
⁷Byblos, Ammon and Amalek,
    Philistia, with the people of Tyre.
⁸Even Assyria has joined them
    to reinforce Lot’s descendants.”

FYI: Moab and Ammon were the two offspring of Lot's incest with his two daughters as described in Gen. 19:30–38.

Hagrites were related to Hagar, Ishmael’s mother.

Amalek was the son of Eliphaz (himself the son of Esau, ancestor of the Edomites) and Eliphaz's concubine Timna in Genesis 36:12.

And Assyria is modern-day Syria where the terrorist-group Hezbollah is located.

FUTURE OF ANTI-SEMITISM

A couple of days ago, National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said, “We support Israel taking necessary and proportionate action to defend its country and protect its people.”

“Proportionate action?” This is why America doesn’t win wars anymore.

Netanyahu compared Hamas to ISIS and said just as ISIS was destroyed, so will Hamas. Casualties are inevitable in war, so expect a rise in anti-semitism when photos and videos of the dead emerge.

And look for the U.N. and the world to condemn Israel which is exactly what Satan wants.

RESISTANCE MOVEMENT

Remember: Satan can’t hurt God so he tries to hurt the ones God loves: Jews and Christians.

1 Peter 5:8-9 says, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith…”

As Jan Markell says, “Things aren’t falling apart, they’re falling into place.” So keep looking up because it appears that our redemption draws near (Matthew 24:33).
