Great retelling of the work of a dedicated follower of Jesus. Faithful till he was called home. Amen!

Thanks Sharon. I hope to be like Harper, working to win souls right up to the end.

I’d never learned about John Harper before, Gary. Thank you so much! The deaths of those 5 people who had a huge amount of money makes it so clear that Christ’s death is the only thing that truly saves us! Thank you for saying that so clearly and beautifully!

You're so right, Barb. In their final moment on earth, money had no value or meaning to them.

What a beautiful story. What a blessing for those who heard Pastor Harper’s words and called on Jesus. Absent from the body is present with the Lord. What comfort knowing their situation.

Thanks Gary, that's an inspiring story. As I look at America today, it's a lot like the Titanic. Under its current leadership, it keeps hitting iceberg after iceberg and we are sinking into the depths ever faster. Thanks for being a voice for reason and for God in these troubling times.

You're right, Mike. We keep hitting iceberg figuratively. Thanks for your response.

Wonderful and inspirational message of faith and devotion. I often fall short of being the best Christian I can be, and could only hope to one day be worthy of God’s love.

Ron, you're worthy of God's love right now. Romans 5:8 says, "God demonstrated his love for us, in this, Christ died for us." That's how much God loves you. Personalize John 3:16 - "God so loved Ron, that He gave his one and only Son so that if Ron believes in Him, Ron shall not perish but have everlasting life."

Romans 10:13 says, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord (Jesus) shall be saved."
