I know how to prevent mass shootings but the left will never allow it to be tried. Why? Let me explain.
There were 8 mass shootings this weekend. There were 5 on Friday and 3 on Saturday, May 6. The Allen, Texas got most of the media attention because 9 people died, including the shooter, and 7 people were injured at an outlet mall.
There have been 193 mass shootings this year. A mass shooting is 3 or more people shot. So what is going on?
Progressive Democrats blame the gun, the NRA and Republicans for not passing more gun laws. Everyone but the actual shooter.
We already have gun laws on the books and they aren’t stopping mass murderers. We have laws against murder too. But that’s not working either.
No one in the media ever gets to the heart of the problem, which is the problem of the heart of mass murderers.
In Mark 7:21-23, Jesus said, “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
So wicked hearts are the problem, here is the cure: The Bible is the only instrument that can transform our heart. Our Founding Fathers understood this.
In 1791, Benjamin Rush, a signer of the Declaration of Independence wrote, “A Defense of the Bible as a School Book.” On page 112 he wrote, “I lament that we waste so much time and money punishing crimes and take so little pains to prevent them… we neglect the only means of establishing and perpetuating our republican forms of government, that is, the universal education of our youth in the principles of Christianity, by means of the Bible.”
But the left won’t allow this to happen because the ‘Separation of church and state’ mob will fight to keep Christianity away from children. The Bible was taught in public schools from 1647 until 1963. But that ended with the U.S. Supreme Court’s Abington v Schrempp decision. So how is that working out for us?
Noah Webster said, “All the evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.”
Webster predicted that citizens would become immoral if we neglect teaching our children the principles found in the Bible.
John Adams, the second president of the United States, said, “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion… Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

So let me turn the tables and ask, “How many more of these mass murders must we endure before we put the Bible back in the public school?” I’m serious. The secularization of America has produced an abundance of educated godless criminals.
I’m not suggesting that we force people to become Christians. That isn’t possible. What I am suggesting is that we teach the Bible, the way we are currently teaching the secular religions of Darwinism, Transgenderism and climate change. That’s right, I said it: godless religions replaced the Bible and if we want to save America, we need to teach the Bible again.
There is one big flaw with this idea. Pagan teachers in public schools are not qualified to teach the Bible. That is why School Choice is needed.

We have a lot of people who act like tigers and sharks. It is time to look to the past and apply the ideas of America’s Founders.
America’s Sixth President John Quincy Adams explained, “There are three points of doctrine the belief of which forms the foundation of all morality. The first is the existence of God; the second is the immortality of the human soul; and the third is a future state of rewards and punishments. Suppose it possible for a man to disbelieve either of these three articles of faith and that man will have no conscience, he will have no other law than that of the tiger or the shark. The laws of man may bind him in chains or may put him to death, but they never can make him wise, virtuous, or happy.”
We have a lot of people who act like tigers and sharks. It is time to look to the past and apply what America’s Founders believed.
But we won’t. No, while the victims’ families grieve their loss, politicians will once again debate gun control and demonize each other for political gain and accomplishing nothing.
But Americans can do something.
2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
